Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars

Tonight I’m getting ready to start a brand new campaign through Command & Conquer 3. It’s been a while since I played through C&C and I’m sure it’s showing some of its age now, yet it retains much of its original charm and appeal. I’m looking forward to fighting for the heroic GDI first before experiencing the story from the perspective of the Nod forces.

Let cheesy acting, over the top storylines and the fight for control of Tiberium deposits rain on. I’m ready to save the world once again!

Steam
On a side note I am impressed once again with the reliability of Valve’s Steam service. Steam is an online store for video games with the advantage that once purchased the games remain in your library online whether or not you uninstall them locally. Not having to root out the CDs and installation keys for older games is absolutely great. There have been a number of occasions where the nostalgia for playing an old game kicks in only to be squashed by the discovery that the CD installation key has become separated from the install discs, effectively rendering them useless. With Steam that isn’t a concern. I only wish I could authorize my older games on the Steam service to remove my reliance on storing hundreds of CDs at home.
