I absolutely love my Yamaha P-85 digital piano. I’ve had it for about two months now and still think it’s one of the best purchases I’ve made in a long time. I was playing with my camera this afternoon and thought I’d share a few pictures I took.
One of the greatest features on the P-85 is it’s distinct lack of features. It is a digital piano pure and simple and doesn’t feel the need to exhibit a host of “extras” to justify the price tag. Instead the engineers of the P-85 seem to have concentrated on the weighting, feel, and reaction of the keys and the warmth of the piano sound it creates. It does very few things and it does them very well. The essentials are all there, a built in metronome, the ability to adjust the key weights, a volume control, and a headphone jack. I use little else and want for little more.
Now if I only had more time to play. 🙂
