First Anniversary

A few weeks ago, Meaghan and I celebrated our one year anniversary.  It’s hard to think that it’s already been a year since I read the eloquant and intriguing profile of a very cute 23 year old on match.com and decided to take a chance.  Yet here we are a year later, both happier than we’ve ever been in our lives.  Our first date was wonderful and how we met is a story very worth telling; but not here, perhaps in a later post.  This year on October 20th, we celebrated much more low key yet with equal romance, enjoying a candlelit dinner at home in front of a log fire.  We had agreed not to get gifts for each other to save money for Christmas.  Meaghan, however, came up with a creative solution and made me a lovely piece of artwork depicting some of her thoughts about our first meeting and first year together.  I love it and had it custom framed and hung over my bedside table.  I’m sure the sentiment adds value in my eyes, but thought that I would share it here as well for others to enjoy.  Thanks Meaghs for a lovely gift and for a great year!  2007 has been good.
